Northwoods Birding Camp
Friday, June 15 Friday, June 22
Registration Deadline: May 18
Golden-winged WarblerHunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary is proud to announce the Second Annual Birding Camp! The Northwoods Birding Camp is a great experience for adults interested in discovering and expanding their understanding of our feathered friends!
Campers will enjoy a full yet flexible schedule filled with opportunities to hike, bird watch, learn from locally and nationally known birding experts, explore the birding opportunities in the local area on optional field trips, relax in a beautiful and serene setting and so much more.
Hunt Hill sets on 400 acres of varied habitats: glacial lakes, tamarack bogs, restored prairie and forests and has all amenities located directly on-site. Guests enjoy watching eagles as they canoe from our private waterfront, discover our smallest birds along miles of hiking trails, listen to the loons as they watch the pristine sunrises or observe the silhouettes of the sandhill cranes at sunset from our prairie platform. The main camp features dorm-style overnight accommodations, a rustic library with field stone fireplace, outdoor seating for soaking in the warm sun, home-cooked meals in our dining hall and more. Learn more about our facilities.
There will be guided field trips, including Crex
Meadows, opportunities to expand your 'Life List' of birds and special programs geared towards all levels of birders.
Participants new to birding and those who cannot
