There are five miles of hiking trails that allow hikers to go through two meadows and wetlands. Hikers will come upon a gazebo, be able to walk across two floating trails, past dolomite cliff formations and a hillside park overlook. There's an abundance of natural beauty to enjoy in its natural environment. The Elk's Nature Center, built in the spring of 1989, thanks to a large donation from the Mankato Elk's Club, provides a permanent structure for promoting environmental education programs. Periodic special interest events are offered for adults and children alike at no cost.
