ISD 197 District Orchestra Concert & Special Reception For Ed Schlueter
Thursday, April 30th
Concert at 7:30 PM- Reception to Follow
Henry Sibley High School in Mendota Heights
Ed Schlueter has announced his retirement at the end of this school year after more than 37 years of dedicated service to children, to Sibley High School, and to our community. Mr. Schlueter retires, knowing he has built a world class orchestra program, with a reputation for excellence, evidenced by a high school orchestra that consistently performs at a superior level at state orchestra contests, tours and performs in Europe to “packed” crowds, provides a pit orchestra for Henry Sibley H. S. musicals, and entertains at community and professional functions as the extra-curricular group Fiddles and Friends. Few, if any, high school orchestras get the opportunity to perform with orchestras of the caliber of the Mississippi Valley Orchestra, founded and directed by Mr. Schlueter. Most importantly, he truly cares about kids. Orchestra Parents invite the community to celebrate the many contributions of Ed Schlueter at this special reception on April 30th.
