Crescendo Project Behind-the-Scenes Event Art Of Conducting with Sarah Hicks

What does it feel like to command a group of some of the finest musicians in the world? Join Crescendo Project, the young patrons group of the Minnesota Orchestra, as Sarah Hicks, Minnesota Orchestra's principal conductor of pops and presentations, introduces you to the art of conducting-from the basics of time signatures, to more subtle aspects of leading an ensemble of professional musicians.
Held onstage under the spotlights of Orchestra Hall, the event will include:
A brief history of conducting
A hands-on introduction to conducting basics
An opportunity for a few lucky attendees to use their newfound knowledge to conduct a quartet of Minnesota Orchestra musicians!
Cocktail receptions before and after the workshop to enjoy refreshments with fellow attendees and Minnesota Orchestra musicians
