Minnesota OrchestraCourtney Lewis, conductorAustin Frohmader, piano Ravel Mother Goose Suite, excerpts Prokofiev Peter and the Wolf Liszt Hungarian Fantasy Generations have been mesmerized by Prokofiev's musical tale of Peter capturing the hungry wolf, in which each character is "acted" by a different instrument; in this concert, the full Minnesota Orchestra brings the story to life in the brilliant production created by Theatre de La Jeune Lune. The concert opens with selections from Ravel's Mother Goose Suite. Another highlight: high school pianist Austin Frohmader, winner of YPSCA's 2011 School Music Auditions, will perform Liszt's dazzling Hungarian Fantasy.Curriculum & Recordings In-School Teacher Workshops: available upon request.
