Emerging Leaders - "Think and a Drink" / Board Boot Camp

United Way Emerging Leaders is hosting "A Think and A Drink" (also known as Board Bootcamp). If you want to learn about nonprofit boards and how to get involved, join us for this educational and networking event.   The evening begins with an educational training session at United Way and concludes with a Happy Hour nearby with light appetizers.
In this session you'll learn:
  *    The difference between nonprofit and for-profit entities and board service
  *    Legal considerations
  *    Board member "must do" roles and responsibilities
  *    How to be an effective trustee
Staff, prospective board members, and existing board members are welcome.
Because we are doing this as a group, the cost is much less so please join us!
