Bottineau Park is adjacent to New Vision School. Recently revitalized, the park includes all of the amenities necessary for a fantastic day in the park. Bring the kids to the playground while you enjoy a snack at one of the picnic tables.
Bottineau features a skate park and regulation baseball and softball fields. There are fields appropriate for a variety of sports, including football and soccer.
The 7.5 acres now known as Bottineau Park were purchased in March 1975. Before being transformed into a park, the land was used as a vegetable farm.
The first years of development were ambitious, including separate outdoor gymnasiums for men and women, a playground, a baseball field and football field.
The park was named in honor of Pierre Bottineau, an early French settler who was one of the first to settle in St. Anthony. He was the owner of a large portion of what is now the east Mississippi River bank. Bottineau originally owned and plotted the land.
