Minnehaha Creek West Park

The twisting, turning banks of Minnehaha Creek, from 51st St. W and Humboldt Ave. S in the Lynnhurst neighborhood to the city's western border with Edina at 54th St. W and Zenith Ave. S in the Fulton neighborhood, are home to Minnehaha Creek West Park. The creek's rippling waters and beautiful scenery provide park goers with an idyllic setting amid an urban residential environment. Long popular with canoeists and kayakers, Minnehaha Creek is easily accessible from the park's canoe launch, which is located near Humboldt Ave., just south of Lynnhurst Park. Other recreational amenities at Minnehaha Creek West include tennis courts next to the pedestrian bridge across the creek near Morgan Ave. S at 52nd St. W, and an open play field near Penn Ave. S at 53rd St. W.
