The Brave New Workshop Comedy Theatre has been creating audacious, hilarious, and thought-provoking original comedy for over 50 years - longer than any other theatre in the United States.
The satirical sketch comedy crafted by the company's talented writer-performers is topical, timeless - and freakin' funny. Generations of comedy junkies are drawn to our spontaneous, wildly creative improv sets. Audiences experience sharp, intelligent, and sometimes challenging comedy in a high energy, anything-can-happen environment.
Founded by former circus performer Dudley Riggs and currently owned by husband and wife John Sweeney and Jenni Lilledahl, the Brave New Workshop is known as a training ground for the most inventive minds in comedy, including US Senator Al Franken, as well as Louie Anderson, Pat Proft, Mo Collins, Rich Sommer, Peter MacNichol, Melissa Peterman, and Cedric Yarbrough.
