Ghost Hunting 101 + Investigation

3 hours of paranormal research including study of the equipment ghost hunters use when studying the paranormal and investigation of the historic Mounds Theatre. Classes taught by Tristin Gravitt, founder of the Minnesota Ghost Hunters Society and newest guide for the Real Haunted Tours.
The classes will include a lecture that goes into detail on the equipment, how it is used, how it can be used for debunking as well as for potentially proving a haunt, and what equipment is best for use in certain situations. Items such as EMF detectors, Temperature gauges, Franks Box's, Dowsing Rods, Flashlights (how they can be used in a situation where the spirit likes to manipulate the light), Digital cameras, voice recorders, video cameras (with night vision as well as a discussion about spectral cameras, infrared, thermal and so on) will be discussed and EMF detectors, dowsing rods, franks box's and flashlights will be handed out to use. A discussion on the newest technology available, whether it's good to invest, how they work, if they work and when/where to use this equipment.
After the lecture a guided investigation of the historic Mounds Theatre will be conducted where attendees will use their knowledge to determine a haunting. Attendees will attempt to gain evidence regarding the paranormal using the instruments taught about in the lecture. We will break into groups and attempt to identify paranormal hotspots. Each attendee will have a chance to explore the Mounds Theatre in an attempt to make contact with the paranormal.
Attendees are asked to bring their own digital cameras, video cameras and voice recorders if they so choose as these items will not be passed around for the investigation.
